Hello world! On this fine day, we—Lucy and Brennan—took on the brave quest of engaging our fellow campers in some conversation, specifically in pursuit of answering the following query:
How has camp changed your life?

“I just moved in with a bunch of campers. Also camp introduced me to my ex who gave me PTSD.”
– Jack L.

“Good people.”
– Perry

“It‘s given me a lot of maturity. From 5 foot 8 Lord Farquad to 6 foot tall frat boy! And I’ve made a lot of friends that are still in my life outside of camp.”
– Donevan

“Camp has opened my eyes to hundreds of different perspectives and has made me more open to people.”
– Elle

“Camp has given me character growth and allowed me to experiment and explore my values—realizing it’s still okay to be friends with people who share different values.”
– Syrus

Changed where I live so I could be closer to camp, revolutionized my social group and had a profound impact on my philosophy
– Kheon

“Camp has given me the chance to fully be myself in a place without judgement and a place that is safe. It has allowed me to experiment with my personality, amazing people and experiences; given confidence and positivity.”
– Jack J.

“It introduced me to a lot of new friends, and changed my perception of America by letting me see the west coast and putting the U.S. in a larger perspective. Camp has given a broader sense of what community can be; cracked my heart open; made me less worried about the future.”
– Zoe JDP

“I‘ve gotten more confident in social situations because of camp. I’m still socially anxious but less so now. I am able to hangout with people more and better because of camp. And of course it’s nice to be around other so many other unschoolers.”
– Denney

“What is this being used for? The blog?Yeah I’m stalling… anyway, it’s allowed me to grow as a person. But that’s a boring answer.”
– Ethan
