Rue & Joss: Camp Myrtlewood (Day 4, Rest Day & Concert)

hello! this is rue and joss and we are co-writing todays blog post!! <3

i am rue, im 16 years old and this is my 3rd year at camp! me and joss have known each other for 11 years!!

hiiiiii im joss or jossy :3 im 14 and this is my first year of camp (woahhh)

today was a sleep in day which means the first half of the days events are pushed back, we had cinnamon rolls and frittata (furtototot or whateva acording to jossy) which was very yums

after breakfast/brunch/whatevar we joined someone on the couch who was playing hit toby fox game deltarune and a bunch of others ended up circling around to watch them play.

at the start of morning meeting we sang ‘lean on me’ (one of rue’s FAVORITE annual camp songs) after a wonderful hug number of 3 we then split off to go to advisee

rue’s advisee: me and my advisee did check in and then played hot seat (one of my favorite camp games!!!)

jossy’s advisee: for our check in were encouraged to use words we don’t use often which is fun, after that we went blackberry picking!!! i personally didn’t get a lot but my group got a ton and i was helped to get more which made me sososososo so jolly :3

we had lunch and jossy received an ominous gift from her fairy god-parent, after lunch i (rue) stayed in the lodge and hung around with the ultimate deltarune speedrunner anon, meanwhile i (jossy) listened to a fellow camper yap about vampire masquerade!

we then met back up in the lodge and with fellow camper crow who helped us bead and decorate our shoes (peak!!!) after which we walked over to zoe and emery’s workshop ‘the questions’ i (rue) enjoyed opening up and sharing stuff (jossy too!)

the two of us walked back to the cabin and got changed into our swimsuits and headed down to the creek!!!!!! we swam around like little fishies and i (rue) put a leaf on jossy’s head, jossy learned how to skip rocks! (wowowowow)

i (rue) left earlier to snag one of the showers before everyone else got out, meanwhile jossy stayed back and idk did something
“yeah i don’t know i was just… gloobing around” -jossy

there was burrito bowls for dinner which was delicious, jossy served dinner so she ate late (haha) we headed over to evening meeting where a cute deer showed up to join us!

last event of the day was the concert, which is camper original songs, it was incredible everyone did so well and sounded so so so good!!!

we all gathered around esther and she told us the story of the baby gunch with laser eyes as we snuggled around

to finish out the night we walked over to forest dell to sit on the couches while we sorted out our notes and finished writing this blog post! we could not stop laughing and messing around the whole time
