Ollie: Day 7 (Camp Myrtlewood Oregon)

Written by Ollie (camper)

Yesterday was one of the roughest days for me this session. The one-week campers all left around 8:30 this morning, which was really sad, but I’m so glad that I could see/meet them this year! So the energy was more heavy throughout the day, but I still had a ton of fun with my friends! Dyeing my hair and swimming in the creek were definitely highlights. I also stumbled upon a group in Dogwood Up listening to a record together in the dark. It was an odd experience, but I really enjoyed it!

There was also Seeing Seen Circle, which is one of the heaviest events of camp. It is where I feel like I really learn about people and what they’re going through. Speaking there was so freeing. I finally admitted something to a group that I can rarely admit to myself. Even with all of the drama, I love everyone here so, so much!!
