Lol I woke up at 9 am bc it was a sleep in day. I normally do wake up call with Syd (the coolest Jr Staffer) but I sprained my ankle two days before so I was waiting for it to heal. I was sick yesterday but I took a two and a half hour nap and then went to bed early last night so I’m not sick anymore. We had pancakes for breakfast!! They were yummy.
We went to morning meeting and sang. Zoe led us in a song which was really sweet.
Then we went to advisee and did appreciations and got our envelopes. In appreciations we each got about two minutes where everyone else in the circle complements them. We wrote down things in envelopes at the beginning of the session. It was about things we wanted to let go of. Mine was about letting go of fear of judgement, I think it went ok. We had extra time after doing appreciations because Larkin is awesome and so good at being an advisor.
Then I went and packed my stuff; it was an odd moment cause I was packing up my sleep equipment like my sleeping bag and pillow so it really set in that I wasn’t going to be here again.
I missed most of lunch so I missed the corn bread 🙁 Then I ate lunch with Lily. Leander came over and we did Connections. We got purple first and had no mistakes.
Then Caitlin, Eliza, and Kilam came over and we all chatted. Then I just chilled during siesta. Siesta my beloved. I watched Caitlin, Elke, Leander, Aaliyah, and Umoja play taco, cat, goat, cheese, pizza.
Then I got in a relationship with Eliza and Caitlin.
Then we watched Elke leave 🙁 they had to leave early.
I went and finished packing my stuff so that my suitcase closed.
Then I timed Leander in doing a Rubiks cube. It was a really bad timing like two minutes or something.
Then we did camp clean up and I got to be in the kitchen. I played with dish soap and got bleach in my mouth. It was fun. We cleaned the kitchen and people kept putting dishes on the counter we were cleaning 🙁
Then Arthur kicked me out and I ate dinner which was cheesy pasta it was good except there were onions in it, but Caitlin served it and Eliza supervised so that made up for it.
Then I finished it and watched Ben and Caitlin ask people if they would kill for the pasta. People kept saying no so they wouldn’t give them seconds. Idk what kind of peer pressure that is but I’m pretty sure it’s some kind.
After dinner we went to evening meeting and I got to stop TWO stop the claps which was pretty cool. We had the hug number and waited for closing ceremony to start. I cried a lot at the speeches and set my intention which is a super secret and I can’t tell you.
Then we all hugged and cried and that was the end of it. I clearly have a way with words and was the best choice to blog for the most meaningful day of camp.
Anyways against Brennas advice I do intended to stay up the entire last night of camp. Larkin said to cut off the blog post when they went to bed but they can’t tell me what to do (yes they can). I ran around while people made latkes and ate Caitlins chocolate rice cakes. They were yummy. Tom tried to make instant mac and cheese but forgot the water and so then he smoked up the entire kitchen. We are clearly not going to be allowed to use the kitchen next year.
Anyways anything else that happened was my own peace to keep and we can both pretend that I am going to sleep now. Good night!
