Hi blog, this is Korey (or Koi!) 🙂 This is a slightly edited entry in my journal from the day!
Last full day!! 🙁 I’m blogging today. I feel like it’s kind of hard to blog on the last day but I will lock in. Pancakes for breakfast and they were sooo good >:P We had a crammed meeting, group picture, then advisee groups! We did appreciations (you go around and say nice things about everyone in the circle) and mine were soo freaking good, Jean almost made me cry again. I wish we had enough time for everyone to say something, but it was so good, literally the sweetest thing ever. such a nice perspective on how people view their friendships with me and it made me very happy 🙂
Then I did my worktrade! I signed a bunch of directories early in the day instead of late into the night like usual because I’m driving home this year so I need the sleep, which originally I was sad about but I realized Milo was driving too so we could get ready for bed and everything together so that made it more fun 🙂 i’ve been really wanting to hangout with him more this session so it was perfect.
For camp cleanup I was in the kitchen doing dishes FOREVERRR, but it was okay because that meant I didn’t have to go outside in the pouring rain, it was so funny because everyone else came in for dinner soaking wet. Then it was evening meeting already!! Every year the staff do a skit and this year it was CRAZY. I literally knew the whole theme because they were talking about it in the kitchen while I was worktrading, and I was still shocked as a john. Aubrie and Augie proposal + KISS??! all the new campers believed it, it was so funny, they did really lock in on the acting. Hug number spirit x Nori MPREG??? and last but not least Will and Sully MARRAGE!!! Sully wore Zesh’s wedding dress and rapped his vows, and they passionately kissed TWICE. crazy as a fucking john. The whole meeting was so hype, everyone was dumbfounded at what was happening the entire time, it was the funniest thing ever.
Afterwards we were all hanging out on the porch waiting for closing ceremony to start, and like I said it had been raining really hard all day so there was a ton of water pouring off the roof, and Milo Marble himself comes up to me and goes “hey I dare you to run through that” and I was like “ouhhhh well. I’ll do it if you do it” SO we took off, I got to the end and went to stop… oh brother, that deck was slippery as a JOHN!!!! I fell in the most cartoonish way possible, both legs slipped fully up and I fell on my ass in a big splash. Of course everyone was already looking at us because we just took off running in the rain so, a lot of witnesses. Milo apologized so many times, meanwhile I was just about crying from how hard I was laughing. It was one of my favorite moments from camp ever. I ran really fast to change my pants before closing ceremony and showed up just on time and only a LITTLE soaking wet.
Closing ceremony was very good, we all went around and said our intentions for the year, mine is to start a clothing business with Kilam. The culminators said their speeches, we all went around and hugged, which was very nice, despite us messing up the spacing a little bit. We sang, people cried. It was all very sweet. Afterwards I signed the rest of the directories, ate banana bread, and said goodnight to everyone. Much to the happiness of the 20 people who checked in to make sure I would be getting enough sleep to drive. so me and Milo started getting ready for bed, he lost his change of clothes and despite turning over his entire car and checking his cabin did not find them, hopefully they turned up when he got home lol. We stayed up talking for a bit and then went to sleep! It was so nice, it felt like such a warm blanket night to wrap up such a genuinely perfect camp session. I feel so grateful for this space and these people. 🙂
